Farad Finance Forum: redirecting mainstream
capital flows to SDG-aligned investments
The next step of
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for everyone. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice.
While it is clear that financial and insurance industries are perfectly aware of the imperative (and performance benefits) provided by sustainable investments and products, progress towards achieving the 2030 United Nations Agenda romains slow.
A major obstacle to advancing SDGs in emerging and developing economies is that most private finance and business activities are not compatible with low-emission development pathways.
Therefore, redirecting mainstream capital flows to SDG-aligned investment is crucial.
Farad Finance Forum will convene public and private actors and discuss on how the local and international community can foster a collective shift towards alignment of social, green and sustainable investments with the UN SDGs in order to implement the Goals
on a global scale.
